Traffic congestion has always been a problem in Casablanca, however today it is worse than ever. Indeed the tramway works on the main streets are making the inhabitants upset. It is definetely a blessing in disguise ! This tram is going to solve a part of the transportation problems in Casablanca, even if a metro line would have been much better for such a big city... The new tram network will consist of 4 lines, the first one which is actually being built will transport more than 100 milion people anually, when completed in december 2012. It will lead to the main hospitals, train stations and universities of Casablanca.

 The End of works of this first tram line will be the first step of a big transport project which aims to reduce car use and favour pedestrians and public transit users. 2012 isn't the end of the world as the Mayas pretend but the beginning of a huge project with one purpose which is to bring a very good transportation for all...
