More than
30 million people use the train annually, thanks to its big capacity and its comfort. The Oncf ( Moroccan National Railways Company ) has chosen to build a high speed line that will connect Tangier to Casablanca, when completed in 2015. The ONCF wants to attract new customers for instance those who use their car in order to get to Tangiers because it is the fastest way to get to the northern city, today. The National Railway Company has announced that the price will be affordable for most people and that the high speed trains won't be only reserved for rich people. Two other high speed lines are also scheduled to be built by 2030 and will link Casablanca to Agadir via Marrakesh and Essauira and Rabat to Oujda via Fez and Meknes.
